Arthurian Booklist
This site lists, in categories,
Arthurian literature ranging from popular novels to poetry to periodicals
to medieval sources. The most comprehensive and useful site of its
kind that I was able to find.
The Camelot Project at the University of
Rochester
A database in electronic format of Arthurian
texts, images, bibliographies, and basic information. An incredibly
extensive, intelligent, and useful site.
Britannia: The Arthurian Century
Pages from the Britannia online magazine
that focus on the Matter of Britain. Features include a timeline, a
photographic tour of sites associated with the Arthur legend, interviews
with noted Arthurian scholars, articles about recent scholarship. One of
my favorite resources for Arthurian lore.
Camelot and Arthurian Legend
A site from Eliki, a Homepage
Hosting community featuring art, history, mythology, literature, classics,
and more. Lots of info. Excellent site.
Camelot in Four Colors: A survey of the Arthurian Legend in
Comics
An overview of the various comic strip and comic
book series that have featured Arthurian themes. Very attractive
site.
An extensive list for serious comic book
fans/Arthurian enthusiasts.
Arthurian Resources on the Internet, by John J.
Doherty
A good collection of web links.
Legends: King Arthur & the Matter of
Britain
The Legends site is an excellent source.
Most of the pages recommended on the Arthur section are included in this
listing, but you may want to take a look at this link and explore some of
the other legends that it discusses (Robin Hood, Beowulf, fairytales,
famous knights.) Great stuff.
Arthurian Links
An excellent listing of links to Arthurian
sites.
Arthur and Camelot
Good introductory site, with reference to
Arthurian art and literature. My favorite page on this site is
entitled "Need an Arthurian Image?" This links to sites with art and
graphics. Very useful, very well organized site.
Arthuriana
The online, scholarly journal of
Arthurian lore. This is a place you'll want to return again and
again.
Arthurian Legend
A mailing list for the discussion of Arthurian
legend.
Arthurnet Mailing List
If you must be on more than one mailing list,
here's another.
Movies
This site contains an adapted master's thesis
about popular movies based on Arthurian lore.
The History and Historicisation of
Arthur
A
series of scholarly articles analyzing the Arthur sources. If you're
researching Arthurian lore, this is well worth a look. Don't assume
the typos in the introductory headings set the pace and tone for what
follows.
Green Knight
Publishing
A small publishing company that's home to the
Pendragon RPG, as well as a selection of Arthurian fiction. They
have reprinted several Arthurian classics and have recently released a few
original books.
