Arthurian Booklist

    This site lists, in categories, Arthurian literature ranging from popular novels to poetry to periodicals to medieval sources.  The most comprehensive and useful site of its kind that I was able to find.

 

The Camelot Project at the University of Rochester

    A database in electronic format of Arthurian texts, images, bibliographies, and basic information.  An incredibly extensive, intelligent, and useful site.

 

Britannia:  The Arthurian Century

    Pages from the Britannia online magazine that focus on the Matter of Britain.  Features include a timeline, a photographic tour of sites associated with the Arthur legend, interviews with noted Arthurian scholars, articles about recent scholarship. One of my favorite resources for Arthurian lore. 

 

Camelot and Arthurian Legend

     A site from  Eliki, a Homepage Hosting community featuring art, history, mythology, literature, classics, and more.  Lots of info.  Excellent site.

 

Camelot in Four Colors:  A survey of the Arthurian Legend in Comics

    An overview of the various comic strip and comic book series that have featured Arthurian themes.  Very attractive site.

 

Camelot 3000 and Beyond: An Annotated Listing of Arthurian Comic Books Published in the United States c. 1980-1998

    An extensive list for serious comic book fans/Arthurian enthusiasts.

    A good collection of web links.

 

Legends:  King Arthur & the Matter of Britain

   The Legends site is an excellent source.  Most of the pages recommended on the Arthur section are included in this listing, but you may want to take a look at this link and explore some of the other legends that it discusses (Robin Hood, Beowulf, fairytales, famous knights.)  Great stuff.

Arthur and Camelot

    Good introductory site, with reference to Arthurian art and literature.  My favorite page on this site is entitled "Need an Arthurian Image?"  This links to sites with art and graphics.  Very useful, very well organized site.

      The online, scholarly journal of Arthurian lore.  This is a place you'll want to return again and again.

Movies

    This site contains an adapted master's thesis about popular movies based on Arthurian lore.  

 

The History and Historicisation of Arthur

A series of scholarly articles analyzing the Arthur sources. If you're researching Arthurian lore, this is well worth a look.  Don't assume the typos in the introductory headings set the pace and tone for what follows.  

 

Green Knight Publishing

    A small publishing company that's home to the Pendragon RPG, as well as a selection of Arthurian fiction.  They have reprinted several Arthurian classics and have recently released a few original books.
