Todd
Lockwood
An award-winning
illustrator and remarkable visual storyteller. The covers for Starlight
& Shadows are typical of his illustrations: full of story detail and
subtle characterization clues. His elves are beautiful, his drow
are cool, and his dragons, unlike those of many of his colleagues, truly
look as if they could fly.
Amy
Brown
An attractive website with an
extensive gallery specializing in fairy and elven art. I've
been following Amy's work for quite some time, and have been featuring her art
on the Elf Lore page. I recently
started collecting the miniature fairy sculptures based on her
drawings.
Keith Parkinson
A
memorial site for the late Keith Parkinson. This award-winning artist
created some of the most memorable and evocative covers in recent memory. A well-designed site featuring beautiful
art.
Michael Whelen
This mind-boggling site
features the work of the multi-Hugo Award winning artist. Check
out his "Tree of Swords and of Jewels" in the C.J. Cherryh
Gallery. I'm not certain that the sword-wielding female is elven,
but she should be. Gorgeous, marvelous, incomparable (add your
favorite superlative here...) fantasy
art.
The Artist Page on
sfsite.com
This is a section of sfsite.com, one of the best and
most comprehensive web resources out there. Listed here are the
web pages for over 50 sf/fantasy artists. Not all of them are "elf
artists," but if you like fantasy art and are willing to browse, this is
an excellent source.
