A: I've been waiting to hear from the publisher for well over a year now. We finally have an answer, and it's not a good one. The folks at Tor Books have decided not to move ahead with a third book in the series at this time.
If something should change in the future, I'd definitely be interested in continuing Gwen's story. The story needs closure; in fact, I'm still kicking myself for leaving the second book as open-ended as it was.
I feel a responsibility to readers who've been left with unresolved questions, and I'll be thinking about ways to tie up those plot lines--possibly in one or more (long) short stories. I'm also kicking around the idea of posting a serial novel on my website. Nothing's certain just yet, but I'll post more info when I have it.
