A: Only if I know for certain
that an author has a public email address and doesn't mind receiving
email. You might want to check the WotC website, www.wizards.com, under
"Books." Many of the author bios listed here give contact
information. Another good place to find a favorite writer is the web
site listing on http://www.sfsite.com/. This
is one of the most comprehensive listings of sf/fantasy author web sites
on the web, and a great place to find contact
information. You can also contact quite a few FR writers at the FR Novels
forum on www.Candlekeep.com.
If you can't find contact info on the web, you can
safely assume that writer has chosen not to maintain a public email address.
Please don't ask me to forward emails to writers who can't
otherwise be contacted. I respect their privacy and I value my writing time.
In particular, I receive a lot of emails asking me
to forward questions and requests to Ed Greenwood.
If you have a question for Ed, please post it on the appropriate thread at
www.candlekeep.com/forum.
Go to
the "Chamber of Sages" section and post on the "Questions for Ed Greenwood"
thread.
